Friday night under the lights, football results for the two Snohomish high schools ended in one win and one loss. Panthers and Grizzlies doing battle on the gridiron, looking to finish the season strong.

AT HOME: Glacier Peak hosted Mount Vernon at Snohomish Veterans Memorial Stadium. These two teams run the same offensive scheme but had entirely different results. Basically, Glacier Peak put on a football clinic for two and a half quarters before turning over the reins to their younger squad with a score of 38 - 0.

Mount Vernon did have their moments but the Grizzlies run things at a faster tempo then what the Bulldogs could adjust for. The first six scores were from the Grizzlies, 1 TD Lundstrom, 3 TDs Southard, 1 TD Bonner and a FG for Linney but not in that exact order.

Jack Bonner was the top receiver in GP's core with eight receptions for almost 130 yards. Of course we can't ignore the hot hand of the Grizzly Gun Slinger Kevin Campbell who was 21 of 31 for over 337 yards and four touchdowns. See the highlight video for more.

Glacier Peak is looking more and more like a well-oiled machine ready for the state play-offs. Making things even better for the season's last two games, two of GP's high octane weapons return to the lineup from injuries, Alex Stepanchenko and Max Moiseyev.

Final score: Grizzlies 38, Bulldogs 21.GP is 6-0 in the Division and 6-1 Overall.

Next for Glacier Peak; Shorewood and Everett. The last several Glacier Peak games saw football scouts from various colleges in attendance to judge select athletes that may help bolster their own rosters next fall. Many of this year's senior squad will be and are seeing interest come in from these and other Universities already.

AWAY: Stanwood hosted Snohomish. Snohomish struck first with a 30 yard run by Holland to make it 7-0.

That would remain the only score in the first half. Stanwood made some half-time adjustments and was able to rack-up 20 points in the third. Snohomish also able to add 8 to their own tally in the third.

Without a single score in the fourth quarter, Stanwood was able to hold on to win 20-15.
