Firefighters Save Shop from Engulfed RV

Clearview, Wash. – A large shop only sustained minor damage after quick action by firefighters at an early morning fire. A neighbor called 9-1-1 just before 2:30 a.m. to report a RV fire spreading to a building in the 4600 block of 240th St. SE in unincorporated Snohomish County.

Firefighters arrived to find a 40 foot RV engulfed in flames and spreading to the two-story shop it was parked alongside. Although the closest fire hydrant was more than 800 feet away, firefighters were able to quickly knock down the flames and keep the fire from spreading even further.

More than 20 firefighters responded, including units from Bothell and Woodinville. There were no injuries.

The RV is a complete loss. The Snohomish County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
