An Evening at Adam’s

Housing Hope held An Evening at Adam’s for Monroe Family Village at Adam’s Northwest Bistro and Brewery in Monroe on Monday, July 28. The restaurant was completely booked by patrons supporting the non-profit’s latest development, a 47-unit homeless and low-income housing project in Monroe.
Housing Hope hoped to raise $5,000 for general operating expenses and $5,000 for the playground that will be installed in the spring. Thanks to the support of food and wine sponsors, centerpiece donations and all guests in attendance, $10,600 was raised, with $5,200 for the playground! All of Adam’s Bistro staff donated their time and service for the evening.
Chef Adam Hoffman prepared an exclusive off-the-menu four course gourmet meal, specifically for this event, including a wine pairing with each course. Nancy Truitt Pierce was the Master of Ceremonies and Housing Hope’s Deputy Executive Director Fred Safstrom spoke of the hundreds of homeless and low-income families that would be housed and provided with services to escape poverty over the next 50 years.
“When you drive by the site,” said Safstrom, “I want you to see not just a housing site, but the formerly homeless families whose lives are being transformed living inside those walls.”
Special thanks to sponsors: Adam’s Northwest Bistro & Brewery, Charlie’s Produce, EC Wilson Meats, Flowers by Karen, and Twin Rivers Brewing Company. Also thanks to raffle sponsors: Commodore Hotel, Inn at Cannon Beach, Innately Guided Hands Massage Therapy, Fort George Brewery and Pig N’ Pancake.
