Fire District 7 Hires Four Firefighters

Clearview, WA - Snohomish County Fire District 7 recently hired four firefighters. Tyler Compton, Jessica Hanna, Bryan Kerr and Riley Korf started in July after a comprehensive testing process that included more than 330 applicants. Each of them comes to Fire District 7 with previous fire department experience.
• Compton has volunteered and worked part-time at various fire departments, most recently with Lake Stevens Fire, Sedro-Woolley Fire Department and Skagit County Fire District 6. • Hanna has more than seven years of firefighting experience, most recently volunteering at Eastside Fire and Rescue. • Kerr has volunteer and part-time firefighter experience, most recently with Granite Falls Fire and the North County Regional Fire Authority. • Korf has worked part-time with several fire departments, most recently with Lake Stevens Fire and Snohomish County Fire District 22. They were assigned to the training division at Fire District 7 until August 7 when they began 480 hours of fire training at the Washington State Patrol Fire Academy. After completion of the academy they will start on shift as probationary firefighters in November. |
