ReNewWorks Home and Decor Store Purchases a new Truck

ReNewWorks Home and Decor Store, a local consignment store selling gently used upscale items, is the proud owner of a new box truck, purchased with grant funds received from the Employees Community Fund of Boeing Puget Sound.
The truck will be used by ReNewWorks to deliver items purchased from the store to the customer’s home. It can also be hired to pick up donated or consigned items from a customer’s home to transport to the store for sale. Delivery starts at $80 and prices are generated by zip code.
The delivery service is available outside of ReNewWorks purposes for a small fee. It can be hired for person to person or business to business during the same business hours as the store.
“We have realized there is an obvious need for affordable delivery and moving services within the Everett community,” said Eric Huenefeld, ReNewWorks Store Manager. “Creating this service furthers our mission by generating yet another avenue for our trainees to find a job in the ‘real world’.”
ReNewWorks Home and Decor was created by HopeWorks Social Enterprises, a Housing Hope affiliate. HopeWorks helps low-income Snohomish County residents achieve self-sufficiency through social enterprises that provide training and pathways to living wage jobs. ReNewWorks trains hard working individuals in customer service, retail (cashiering, inventory control and store operations) and online marketing (writing descriptions for online ads, Craigslist and Facebook).
ReNewWorks donates a portion of sales to Housing Hope, a local non-profit that provides homes and services to homeless and low-income families in Snohomish County. So, donating or purchasing a couch through ReNewWorks can help make an impact on homelessness in the county.
ReNewWorks is looking for upscale, gently used home furnishings to add to the inventory. If you have items you would like to sell, please e-mail photos to rwcontact@renewwrks.com.
For shoppers, visit the store in person or online, the Facebook page or Craigslist to see items for sale. Everything is sold on a first come, first served basis. For more information about ReNewWorks Home and Decor, visit the Web site at www.renewwrks.com.
