The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office dive team recovered the body of an adult Asian female this morning from a small retention pond near the Snohomish River.

The body was discovered in the pond around 1 a.m. by law enforcement near the 4500 block of Lowell Snohomish River Rd. Identification, as well as cause and manner of death, will be determined by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.

The death is under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit.
