Clearview, Wash. – Snohomish County Fire District 7 had a normal station visit scheduled last Saturday that turned into a very special meeting.

Nolawi recently had his 5th birthday. For his birthday he wanted to see where he was born. His mother contacted Fire District 7 to schedule a visit, and as luck would have it, when they showed up, he met one of the medics who helped deliver him.

Sam Langheld and Troy Smith delivered Nolawi in the back of their medic unit during a terrible snow storm five years ago. Smith remembers having to chain up the medic unit and drive 20 mph to get Nolawi and his mother to the hospital.

A simple birthday visit turned into a very special moment for Nolawi and Smith.
