The highly-anticipated summer lunchtime concert series is back to make Wednesday afternoons a mid-week playcation in downtown Everett this July and August. Downtown office workers are encouraged to take a break from their busy appointment calendars or bring clients to enjoy the popular outdoor concert and food truck offerings at the Snohomish County campus beginning with the favorite north-end party band, Commander Mojo and the Horns of Discontent on July 6th. The concerts are free and open to the public.

“This year’s line-up of performers are ready to get hands clapping, hips shaking, and toe’s tapping,” said Robert Fairfax, Chair of the Snohomish County Arts Commission. “County employees and residents can venture to the County campus and take a lively music break to reset before returning to the great work they do during a typical business day.”

Nine new performers are scheduled, including the celebrated indie folk-pop quartet, Rabbit Wilde, and the irresistible fun starters, The Hoot Hoots. Fresh flowers from Hmong growers, kettle corn, arts and craft vendors, and multiple food trucks will be on-hand to provide local flavor, produce, and gifts.

The 2016 Music on the Plaza Summer Lunchtime Concert Series is presented by the Snohomish County Arts Commission and is held every Wednesday, starting July 6 and lasting until August 31. Concerts are held from 11:30a.m. until 1 p.m. on the Snohomish County campus located at the corner of Rockefeller and Wall Streets in downtown Everett, WA.
