Two Subway Restaurant Robberies

Marysville detectives are investigating the robberies of two local Subway restaurants that were robbed three weeks apart, possibly by the same suspect.

Last night, March 15th, just before 9 p.m., a lone male suspect entered the Subway located in the 9200 block of State Ave., in Marysville. The suspect displayed a knife and demanded cash from the cash register. The employee complied with the demands and the suspect fled the restaurant on foot. He was witnessed running in a northwesterly direction from the restaurant.

The suspect is described as being a white male in his early 20’s. He is about 5-07, with a husky build and described as having chubby cheeks. He was wearing a black hoodie, with light colored stripes running down the sides from under both arms and dark colored pants.

Three weeks earlier, on February 22nd, just before 9 p.m., a lone male suspect entered the Subway located in the 400 block of State Ave.  He stated to the employee, “This is a robbery,” and demanded all the big bills in the cash register.  The employee complied with the demand and the suspect fled on foot eastbound on 5th Street.

 

He is described as a white male adult, 20-30 years old, He is between 5-10 and 6-00 tall, and 180-210 lbs.  He was wearing a grey hoodie underneath a blue or black athletic style jacket with a NY Yankees logo on the left chest.  He was also wearing baggy, rolled up blue jeans and black shoes.

Neither employee was physically harmed during the robberies.

 

Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying persons involved in these two robberies.  Anyone having any information are asked to immediately call 911 and to refer to Marysville Police case numbers 17-8710 and 17-12437.
