At 2:15 this afternoon, Fire District 7 was dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Bothell Everett Highway (SR 527) and Dumas Road. When crews arrived they found a two vehicle, offset head-on collision blocking the intersection.

Fire District 7 crews controlled traffic and found one patient needed to be extricated from the vehicle. Firefighters quickly went to work safely cutting open the vehicle to remove the patient.

The extricated patient was transported to Providence in Everett by medic unit with serious injuries. Another patient was transported to Providence by aid car with minor injuries. A third patient was evaluated and released on scene with no injuries.

Highway 527 was closed in both directions while crews extricated and treated patients. Approximately 30 minutes after the collision, one lane in each direction opened to traffic.
