Washington State Fair Welcomes Seattle Hip Hop Sensation Macklemore

Seattle’s own Macklemore will take the Washington State Fair’s Grandstand stage for a huge hip hop/rap party, Friday, Sept. 21.

GEMINI, Macklemore’s first solo effort in 12 years, was released in September 2017. It debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and #1 on the charts for Rap, R&B/Hip-Hop and Independent Albums.

Collectively Macklemore’s music videos have been viewed more than 2.7 billion times and he is one of only two rappers to have a Diamond-certified single. Macklemore’s previous solo releases include “The Language of My World” and the mixtapes “Open Your Eyes” and “The Unplanned Mixtape.”

In the past year, the Seattle rapper released two solo songs “Wednesday Morning” and “Drug Dealer,” performed on Ellen and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, was featured in an MTV special with President Obama about the opioid epidemic in America, and was the first U.S. citizen to ever participate in the Presidential Weekly Address.
