$50,000 for Housing Hope

(Snohomish, Wash.) Recently, Housing Hope hosted 200 supporters at the annual East County Community of Hope dinner at Lord Hill Farms in Snohomish. The event raised a record $49,700 for Housing Hope’s work in East Snohomish County.
Event sponsors off-set event costs so that all money raised at the event directly supports homeless families in East Snohomish County. This year’s sponsors include Harvey Airfield with Skydive Snohomish and Snohomish Flying Service, Andy’s Fish House, Canyon Creek Cabinet Company, Columbia Bank of Monroe and Snohomish, Genesis Refrigeration & HVAC LLC, Harmsen & Associates Inc., Lakeside Industries, Lord Hill Farms, Mr. Dizzy Motorsports, Shepherd of the Hills Church, C. Don Filer Agency, Inc., Delma Silva RE/MAX LEGACY, Grace Fellowship Church, Quackenbush Hansen & Cogar, PLLC, and Flowers by Karen.
At the event, guests heard from Cole, a resident of Housing Hope’s Monroe Family Village. Cole is 16 years old, and thanks to the stability Housing Hope has given him and his family, he’s thriving in school and working at Adam’s Bistro in Monroe. During his speech, Cole said “When I think about my journey, I know that I don’t want anything negative in my life to define who I am. Not the cards I’ve been dealt or my homelessness in the past. What I do want to define me is my resilience, my bravery, and my desire to give back. I’m not sure what the future will hold, but I do know it will be so bright because of Housing Hope and this community’s support.”
All money raised at the event will stay in East Snohomish County, supporting Housing Hope’s mission of breaking the cycle of poverty and homelessness in our community.
