*Beginning this Thursday any student not involved in winter athletics is invited to work out in the weight room with Coach Brodie on Monday, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3 to 4&this is open to all students that are committed to working hard and becoming bigger, stronger, faster&

 

*There is a French Club meeting today after school in room 311.

 

The theme for this Fridays game is Seahawk Blue Friday! Dress in your Seahawks gear and show your 12th man pride as the Seahawks prepare to win against the Falcons.

 

Schedule change day coming up. Students who want to discuss a schedule change for next semester must stay after school on your assigned schedule change day and come to the Career Center. Juniors and Seniors:  Your schedule change day is right after school January 16th.  Freshmen and Sophomores: Your schedule change day is right after school January 17th.

 

Grizzly Cubs  January ice skating is here! Skating is at Comcast Arena in Everett from 6-7pm but you can get there early to avoid standing in the long line for skate rentals. All skating is free for grizzlies and there cubs. Cathcart will be skating Thursday, January 10th. Seattle Hill on January 17th, Little Cedars on January 31st and Totem Falls on February 7th. If you are unable to make your assigned day, feel free to come to one of the other skating days.

 

Senior Parents, can you believe there are only 22 weeks until Graduation? Its time for all you wonderful parents out there who expressed some willingness to help with the party, to come to our next meeting. We are past the planning and on to the doing!  Our goal is to have 200+ Seniors signed up and 90% of the work done by the end of April so we can enjoy the crazy number of spring Senior activities wed like to enjoy with our kids. Our next meeting is Wednesday, January 16th at 7pm in the GPHS Library.  We hope to see you there. Contact Karen Hickenbottom with questions.

There will be a representative from Minneapolis College of Art and Design in Room 706 during 2nd period on January 10.  You must have your teachers permission to attend.

Come and show your support of the wrestling team on Thursday January 10th this is the first of only two Home Duals for the wrestling team.   JV begins at 5:45 and Varsity immediately following.

 

Application for Credit Reinstatement Forms are available from Mrs. Wilson in the Main Office.  If you were given a loss credit by your administrator in any of your classes and wish to apply for credit reinstatement, you must complete an Application for Credit Reinstatement form and return the completed form to Mrs.Wilson no later than 12:30 on Friday, January 11.

 

There is an ASB Senate Meeting on Wednesday, January 9 in room 203 during Grizzly Period.  Please be on time!

 

Tolo Tuesday Tickets go on sale in the Bookkeepers Office the 15th for a box of cereal (All cereal donations will support our local food bank!) and $10 (half price)  Regular sales cost of $20 each will begin during lunches only on the Tues  Thurs the 22nd,23rd and 24th, and the following week Tuesday Friday 29,30, 31 and 1. Guest passes will be available in the main office and must be turned in to the main office by January 31st for processing. Yearbooks are on sale now through Feb 15th for $75.  Yearbooks will not be available again until the end of the year as long as they are in supply.

 

Thank you to everyone who has donated items to the battered womans shelter.  We will continue to collect items all throughout the rest of the year.  Please drop off any sample size or regular size items to MDs Box in the office or to room 535.  Items we are collecting are: shampoos, conditioners, tooth brushes, tooth paste, face and body washes, lotions, and more.  Ask MD for a complete list. 

 

The Snohomish High School MCJROTC will be hosting a Drill Competition at Snohomish High School on 12 January 2013.  JROTC programs from 10 local high schools will compete in Armed and Unarmed Drill (marching), a Physical Fitness Test, Color Guard, and Air Rifle marksmanship.  There is no cost to attend the competition.  Events will begin at 8:00AM and run throughout the day.  Come out and support the Snohomish Cadets. 

 

Traffic Safety Education forms are available in the Counseling Office.

 

There will be SAT Prep class available for those interested. 1st session is full and 2nd session will be held on February 2nd & 9th. Registration forms are available in the Main office and the Counseling office.  The fee is $70.00.   Classes are limited so you will want to register soon.  Additional classes will be held in March.
