The Snohomish Police Department is conducting an investigation into a serious assault with a weapon which occurred in the 900 block of Pine Avenue early Sunday morning, February 28. A 17 year old juvenile female reported that she had been assaulted by an unknown female assailant who was in the company of a male driver. According to the victim the suspect white female was described as 18-19 years old, blond hair, wearing a black jacket, tank top and blue jeans. The victim was unable to provide a description of the male driver. The vehicle was described as a newer silver car with tinted windows and four taillights. At about 0230 early Sunday morning the victim was out walking in the company of another juvenile when a car pulled up alongside the pair. Words were exchanged between the two parties. The situation escalated, the suspect produced a tire iron, struck the victim in the head, and fled the scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital where she was treated for her injuries and released.
