The second year school out of Snohomish, Glacier Peak high school, won their first game at the State championship playoff for 3A boy's basketball in the Tacoma Dome. Glacier Peak will advance to play either Franklin or lakes in tomorrow's game for another try at advancing towards the state championship. The next game is scheduled for 3:30pm tomorrow March 11. Glacier Peak came out strong against the Cardinals opening up a seven-point lead early in the first quarter but Franklin Pierce was able to pull it together and get back in the game. By the end of the first half though, Glacier Peak had widened its lead, 32 to 17 in favor of the grizzlies. Franklin Pierce was able to make a small comeback but it wasn't enough to hold off the playoff ready Glacier Peak Grizzlies who held on to win.
