The 2010 Junior Olympics 2,000m Steeplechase Intermediate Girls' Champion is Amy-Eloise Neale of Snohomish. The Glacier Peak Sophmore led the race in its entirety, taking an early and solid 75 meter lead over the rest of the field to finish in a time of 7:09.61. Neale, a runner not foreign to the awards podium, won last year's Youth Girls 3,000m and 1,500m runs to add to her 2007 and 2008 3,000m event championship titles. USA Track & Field During her interview, that you can watch by clicking the video button above, Neale stated that she had fun but the race was hard. This was Neale's first steeplechase at nationals putting another great win on her already impressive resume. She said that it was fun trying something new. Neale is also running in the Intermediate Girls' 1500m and 3000m race and says she will eat healthy to stay ready.
