Bikini Baristas in Snohomish    Print Snohomish Times
With all the hype of the bikini clad baristas popping up around the state, the question is; when will the fad arrive in Snohomish? Many cities have now taken this subject up as a decency issue and others have decided to let the police figure it out. Recently the news outlets have ran with this sexy subject and it has snowballed into ongoing coverage. The Everett Herald has many articles on this including one just yesterday pointing out how comfortable some of these baristas are with their job. Speaking with Snohomish baristas about this fad was very enlightening; some said they weren't interested in doing it here. Others said that they were not going to lose business to other stands that may start this practice when it gets warmer and would reveal more skin as was appropriate to keep their male customers.

All of the stands contacted indicated that male customers are the ones that tip the most and the fear of losing their business is what drives this fad. Some baristas thought that if all it takes to double your tips is to simply dawn a bikini then what is the big deal. Most don't understand the difference between what big league advertisers can do and what people are making such a big deal out of around here. Let supply and demand determine what the coffee stands do, if people stop using coffee stands with bikini clad baristas then they will stop wearing them. Most of the baristas said they thought that making new rules to govern their attire is silly. Stay tuned for warm weather updates to this subject.
