BAD DRAW WRESTLING CLUB BEGINS THEIR SECOND YEAR

Founded in 2010 the Bad Draw Wrestling Club is proud to announce that their second year is in full swing with several of their wrestlers already taking medals at tournaments throughout the state. Youth wrestling is an exciting sport with a growing following throughout the country.

Western Washington is no exception with most tournaments bringing in young wrestlers from all corners of the state with participation levels at 300-400 per tournament. The Bad Draw Wrestling Club is hoping to promote the sport throughout the region by engaging local media and by providing opportunities for wrestling related stories and event coverage. Bad Draw Wrestling Club practices every Tuesday and Thursday evening at Glacier Peak High School and several of our young wrestlers participate in tournaments throughout the area on the weekends. State tournament schedules can be found at TrackWrestling.com.

Bad Draw Wrestling Club will be hosting a tournament the weekend of January 14th and 15th at Monroe High School.

The Bad Draw Wrestling Club is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to fostering, promoting and encouraging the sport of amateur wrestling. Coaching wrestlers between the ages of 5 and 13, it is the goal of the Bad Draw Wrestling Club to develop the principals of good sportsmanship, honesty, integrity, discipline, respect and self-motivation among the youth of greater Snohomish County.

Bad Draw Wrestling Club currently has 70 wrestlers between the ages of 5 and 13 but we would still love to draw more kids to the program and to the great sport of wrestling. We have a high number of coaches and assistant coaches which helps to keep the coach to wrestler ratio low. Here are some additional facts about the Bad Draw Wrestling Club:

Founded in 2010 currently in second season of operation.Coaches Ryan Aney, Adam Aney, Justin Springer and Lance Bison; prior high school state champions or contenders with college level experience. 12 assistant coaches.Participate in Folkstyle, Freestyle and Greco Roman styles of wrestling (Folkstyle season October-February, Freestyle/Greco Roman season February-May).Practice at Glacier Peak High School in Snohomish every Tuesday and Thursday evening. In their first year Bad Draw took second place last year in the WWKWL Novice League Championship Tournament in Seattle.
