Arrest in the death of Buckmaster

On January 31, 2012 at approximately 7:00pm, Sheriff’s Office deputies made an arrest in the death of Mr. Pat Buckmaster.

Detectives believe Mr. Buckmaster was killed during a burglary and robbery at 4319 Meridian Avenue North, Marysville, on December 1, 2011.

Several arrests have been made in this on-going investigation during the past two months. Last night, a 44 year old male from Bonney Lake was arrested in connection with the death of Mr. Buckmaster. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on charges of Murder, Robbery, Burglary, Kidnapping and Assault.

Death Investigation (original January 5, 2012)

On January 3, 2012, the Sheriff’s Office (acting on a tip) responded to an area near Granite Falls, WA on a report of a dead body. Investigators located the body of an unidentified adult male subject in an outdoor area.

Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit are handling the death investigation, which is considered suspicious in nature. The body was turned over to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office for identification and cause of death information.
