Snohomish drops North County for ninth lacrosse win

LYNDEN – Glacier Peaks Austin Tippett scored four goals and Glacier Peaks Devin Remlinger netted three as Snohomish cruised to its ninth win of the season with an 11 - 7 boys high school lacrosse defeat of North County, Tuesday at Bender Fields in Lynden.

The win helped the first-place Snohomish squad stay two games ahead of Everett in the Division II Cascade Conference.

Snohomish moved ahead first with a 2 - 1 lead in the opening quarter, before adding four goals in the second for a 6 -2 half-time lead. In the third, North County came back with four goals to make it 8 - 6 at the end of three. In the final quarter, Snohomish added three goals to seal the win.

North County's Letrez Jones and Marques Fakkema each had three goals and Mitchell Keown had 11 saves.

Snohomish (9-1-0) next faces Providence (5-3-0), Wednesday, April 18 in a 7 p.m. start at Lake Stevens High School. North County (3-4-0) next faces Whatcom (3-4-0), Thursday, April 19 in a 5 p.m. start at Whatcom Community College.
