Larsen's Job-Crushing Agenda

Larsen's Job-Crushing Agenda
The record of Rick Larsen and his party now warrants a closer look given recent comments by Obama surrogate Newark Mayor Cory Booker, who questioned the President’s attacks on the free enterprise system. The question is – will Larsen continue to double down on his party’s job-crushing policies? In order to get the Washington economy back on track Larsen needs to abandon his party’s destructive political agenda so that small businesses can create jobs and grow the economy. “Does Rick Larsen agree with Mayor Booker that these attacks on free- enterprise are nauseating?” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay. “Once again, Rick Larsen stands at a precipice – he can continue to use his hyper-regulatory, job-killing policies to stand in the way of the free enterprise system or choose to support pro-growth policies.” Recently, Newark Democrat Mayor Cory Booker appeared on NBC’s “Meet The Press” and criticized Obama for his political attacks on free enterprise: "‘I have to just say from a very personal level, I'm not about to sit here and indict private equity,’ Booker, a Democrat, said …’To me, it's just we're getting to a ridiculous point in America. Especially that I know I live in a state where pension funds, unions and other people invest in companies like Bain Capital. If you look at the totality of Bain Capital's record, they've done a lot to support businesses, to grow businesses.’" (Dylan Stableford, “Cory Booker slams Obama campaign ad attacking Romney's Bain Capital record,” ABC News, 5/20/2012)
