Assault Suspect Hit by Car on 1-5
STANWOOD, Wash. – A 25 year-old male fleeing from Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies was hit by a car while trying to cross the northbound lanes of I-5 near Exit 215.
The suspect continued to try and flee immediately after the accident but was detained by officers on the scene. The man has been transported to a nearby hospital by North County Regional Fire Authority.
This incident began earlier this evening around 9 PM, when deputies were responding to an alleged assault taking place at the 3000 block of 300th St NW in Stanwood. While attempting to take the suspect into custody, he assaulted an officer and fled on foot across the southbound lanes of I-5, then proceeded onto the northbound lanes.
He was struck by a northbound vehicle at around 9:30 PM.
No additional details about the condition of the suspect are available at this time.

Nutter not so dangerous anymore
Suspect Vincent Nutter, 22, has been taken into custody by the Snohomish County Violent Offenders Task Force following a call from a citizen who spotted the suspect walking down a nearby road.
