Presented by the Snohomish Chamber of Commerce, the 34th Annual Snohomish Easter parade will be held on First Street in Downtown Snohomish at 11 a.m. This is one of only a few remaining Easter Parade events in the United States.

Yahoo Voices published an article naming the top three Easter Parades left in the United States.

The traditional Easter parade has all but slid into obscurity. Yet while plenty of locales are scrapping old traditions, there are some venues that continue to honor to the beloved opportunity and let locals parade Easter hats, festive dresses and even some less conventional outfits. Where should you go to visit one of the few remaining Easter parades in the United States?

  1. Snohomish Easter Parade in Washington
  2. French Quarter Easter Parade in Louisiana
  3. St. Augustine Easter Parade in Florida

Taking place on the Saturday before Easter, the Snohomish Easter Parade is scheduled to take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is a festive affair with booths, vendors, refreshments and entertainment. Those wearing an Easter hat can register for the Bonnet Contest, which will take place immediately after the parade. Registration for this contest starts at 10 a.m. Locals appreciate this opportunity to get out before the Sunday Easter egg hunts.

Keeping with tradition, the Tribune's "Easter Bunny" will be leading the parade and welcoming our crowd to Snohomish. A crowd that has been upwards of 10,000 people has been known to attend so don’t be late in grabbing your spot along the 8 block route.

Enter the Easter Bonnet Contest, (no age limit and pets are welcome). Pre-registration for the Bonnet Contest can be done by e-mail to manager@cityofsnohomish.com.  Put "Easter Bonnet Contest" in Subject line.  Give First name, Last Initial and age of each person participating.  Pets can be registered under Name with "Pet" behind.  Day of Contest Sign Up is located at First Street and Avenue A beginning at 10:00 a.m. and judging starts immediately following the parade at that location.  There is space on the Chamber Float for contestants to ride in the parade.

Faith Assembly Church is sponsoring a public Easter Egg Hunt at their Church location, 1220 -22nd Street, Snohomish, WA 98290.  The Hunt will begin at 9 a.m. for children pre-school through Grade 6.  Parking is limited, as will be the number of eggs available to hunt.

9:00 a.m.: Easter Egg Hunt
10:00 a.m.: Easter Bonnet Contest registration begins (1st St. & Ave. A)
11:00 a.m.: Parade (1st St.)
Bonnet Contest Judging: Immediately following the Parade
