Open House at Camp Killoqua

Thinking about summer camp? Camp Killoqua invites families to attend an Open House from 2-4 pm on Saturday, April 26.

Tour camp, meet the staff and enjoy Killoqua’s 185-acre facility, including forests, trails, game fields, waterfront, cabins, tents, and more.

As generations of campers will tell you, the camp experience is a very special part of a young person’s life, creating memories and teaching life skills. Camp magic comes from meeting new people, trying exciting activities, using your imagination, and having fun, all as a part of a close-knit group.

Camp Killoqua, operated by Camp Fire Snohomish County since 1941, offers year-round programming focused on youth grades K-12: Summer resident and day camps, outdoor education, leadership programs and unique retreat space for youth organizations. Located just 20 miles northwest of Everett, Killoqua is secluded yet easy to reach from all parts of Snohomish County.

Camp Fire emphasizes small groups, individual attention, acceptance of differences, helping children find their voice and discover who they are in a child centered and lead experience while being closely supervised by highly trained staff.

No matter a camper’s age or program choice, staff members work with each cabin group to create the session’s activities, making each week unique. All sessions offer age-appropriate camp programs that include cookouts, hiking, waterfront activities, singing, crafts, and much more!

In addition to a general session, campers can choose to register for specialty camps. Some of the specialty camps include archery, waterfront, culinary arts, drama, challenge course, beginner, intermediate and advanced horse camp, bereavement camp, and inclusion- a specialty for kids with special needs. Campers that sign up for a specialty camp participate in all the general session activities, but focus for at least two hours each day on their specialty area.

Killoqua offers day and resident camp programs for youth in grades K-12 throughout the summer. More information is available at 425 258 5437 or www.CampKilloqua.org. No reservations are needed; please call ahead for driving directions.
