Shots fired in Everett Everett Police respond to reports of shots fired at a moving vehicle in Everett. At about 7:15 p.m. on July 16, 2014, officers responded to the 2200 block of Hoyt Ave when numerous witnesses called 911 after observing a male fire multiple rounds at a passing vehicle. Arriving officers found bullet casings in the roadway. Witnesses said a male came out of a residence, fired shots at a passing vehicle then ran back towards the residence. Officers secured the area, detained multiple people from inside the residence but did not find the male. The passing vehicle left the scene and its occupants have not called 911 to report the incident. Witnesses describe the male as a black male about 17 years-old. No one was injured during the incident. One of the detained males was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for outstanding warrants.
