Rayonier Offers New Hunting and Recreational Permits

Hoquiam, Wash., - Rayonier (NYSE: RYN) has launched a range of new hunting permits for its land in Western Washington, including nearly 375,000 acres in Clallam, Jefferson, Grays Harbor, Pacific and Wahkiakum Counties. A variety of permit levels are available, including low-cost general access hunting permits on 175,000 acres.

Hunting permits are available from August 1 to December 31, 2014, while some recreational areas are available year round. Permit sale dates and availability of license areas are available on rayonierhunting.com.

Permits include:
General Access
The general access hunting permit covers the largest land area — 175,000 acres across Clallam, Jefferson, Grays Harbor, Pacific and Wahkiakum Counties. One permit includes:
? Who: an adult plus one person under 18 years
? Where: areas designated with a green or red dot
? When: during Washington Department of Fishing and Wildlife (WDFW) hunting season, from August to December
? Cost: $65


“We value our partnerships with local hunters, who have been great stewards of our properties throughout Washington State,” said Bill Monahan, Rayonier’s Resource Unit Leader.
Premium Seasonal
Premium permits are available in limited quantities, each allowing two related adults and their children under 18 access inside the gated areas. Access is granted during open WDFW deer and elk seasons, from August through December, and includes camping.


Premium seasonal permits available include:
? 34,000 acres in Promised Land, Grays Harbor County: 200 permits available at $200 each
? 6,000 acres in Kalaloch Ridge, Jefferson County: 35 permits at $200 each
? 30,000 acres in Dickey, Clallam County: 180 permits at $200 each
? 6,000 acres in Deep Creek, Clallam County: 35 permits at $150 each
Exclusive Seasonal
Exclusive seasonal permits allow access to gated areas and include hunting privileges for one person, as well as the option to designate non-hunting companions to accompany the hunter (one per visit). Access is granted during open WDFW hunting seasons from August to December, and includes camping.
? 31,000 acres in Fossil Creek, Pacific County: 175 permits at $385 each
? 15,000 acres in Salmon Creek, Pacific County: a very limited number of permits is auctioned off to the highest bidder:
? 6 archery deer and elk permits, minimum bid $1,000
? 6 modern rifle elk and deer permits, minimum bid $2,000
? 15 modern rifle deer permits minimum bid $150
? 15 muzzleloader deer permits, minimum bid $100

Recreation License Units (RLUs)
RLUs can be licensed by clubs or individuals and grant exclusive use of the permitted area for recreation. Licensees are granted access keys to the restricted areas for year-round use.
