Texting Teen Strikes Pedestrian Arlington, Wash. — The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident involving a vehicle which struck and severely injured a 63 year-old female pedestrian. The driver of the vehicle, a 16 year-old female, stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. It is believed that the driver may have been texting at the time she allegedly struck the victim. The incident occurred at the 17100 block of McRae Rd NW and was reported by a witness around 8:45 a.m. on Saturday. The victim was transported to Providence Medical Center. The incident remains under investigation by the Collision Investigations Unit.
