Car versus pedestrian collision EVERETT - The Everett Police Department is investigating a car versus pedestrian collision. Just after 7:00 a.m. this morning, a 69 year-old Everett man was crossing Evergreen Way in the 11800 block when he was struck by a southbound vehicle in an unmarked crosswalk. The male sustained numerous injuries that are believed to be non-life threatening and he was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. Witnesses say several other vehicles almost struck the male, who was pushing a cart, but were able to avoid him. The vehicles driver, a 26 year-old Snohomish man, remained at the scene. At this point in the investigation, it is not believed that speed, alcohol or drugs were factors. Several southbound lanes of Evergreen Way were closed, but all are open at this time.
