Car/Pedestrian Fatality Collision

Just before 3:00 a.m. Sunday morning, Marysville Police responded to a fatal collision in the 4700 block of 88th St. NE., in Marysville.

Through preliminary investigation officers learned the 54 year old female driver, a resident of Marysville, was traveling eastbound on 88th St. The victim, a 39 year old Marysville man, was in the roadway, kneeling low and facing away from the on-coming traffic. Just prior to impact the victim raised up but it was too late for the driver to stop.

The victim was deceased upon the arrival of officers.

Investigators at the scene did not believe there was any impairment on the part of the driver. Autopsy and toxicology tests will be conducted by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine whether there was any impairment of the deceased.
