ire District 7 Selects Jeff Schaub

Clearview, Wash. –Snohomish County Fire District 7’s newest commissioner will be sworn in on February 12. After interviewing six applicants, the Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to appoint Jeff Schaub to the vacant position.

"The Board was thrilled to have six extremely talented candidates apply to serve our community," Board Chair Roy Waugh said. "Mr. Schaub’s strong community service background in addition to his professional and educational experience made him an ideal candidate to join our board and represent the community. We appreciate his willingness to serve and look forward to working with him."

Schaub currently works as a Commercial Appraiser for the Snohomish County Assessor’s Office. In addition to his professional background in construction, property development, and real estate, he has a master’s degree in management. He has also served on numerous boards including the Northshore School District Board of Directors. He lives in the Bear Creek area with his wife.

“I am honored to serve as a Fire Commissioner for District 7,” Schaub said. "I believe in community and that communities are stronger when people participate and contribute where they can.”

Position #2 was vacated by Neil Doherty last year when he moved out of the district. Per Washington law, the position is up for election in November. The person elected will take office immediately and serve through 2021.
