Practice in Monroe Joins EvergreenHealth

EvergreenHealth Monroe is pleased to welcome Michael Eickerman, M.D.P.S., and Monroe General Surgery to the EvergreenHealth Medical Group as EvergreenHealth Surgical & Vein Care. The practice will continue to serve patients with a range of surgical procedures including laparoscopic surgery, cancer procedures, hernia repair, and varicose vein treatments, from its current location in Monroe.

Dr. Eickerman has practiced at Monroe General Surgery and Puget Sound Vein Center for nearly 20 years, acting as Chief of Medical Staff since 2007. Prior to serving the Monroe community, Dr. Eickerman attended Whitman College and earned his medical degree from University of Washington’s School of Medicine in 1987. He participated in a postgraduate residency in general surgery at the University of Tennessee – Memphis, and he completed a fellowship within peripheral vascular, thoracic and cardiovascular surgeries, also in Memphis, before returning to the Pacific Northwest in 1996.

“We are thrilled to add this talented team of providers, led by such a skilled surgeon and community leader to our medical group. Dr. Eickerman has been an integral part of the Monroe health care community, and he and his team’s exceptional service are a natural fit for the EvergreenHealth system as we continue to work to offer the highest quality care for East Snohomish County residents,” said EvergreenHealth CEO Bob Malte.

EvergreenHealth Monroe, formerly Valley General Hospital, joined the Kirkland-based EvergreenHealth system in March, ensuring the long-term viability of quality health care in East Snohomish County. The addition of the new Surgical & Vein Care practice in Monroe is one of many ways the two organizations are integrating to provide the most comprehensive care and services for Monroe residents and beyond.
