Man fatally shot in Everett

EVERETT – Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit are investigating a fatal shooting in Everett.

At about 4:00 p.m. June 16th, officers were dispatched to the Arterra Apartments (711 W. Casino Rd) after 911 received a report that a man had been shot in the parking lot. Arriving officers found an adult with gunshot injuries and immediately began first aid. Witnesses told officers that the male suspected of doing the shooting had fled on foot. Officers contained the area while police K-9’s searched and the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office helicopter assisted. The suspect was not located.

The injured man was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett where he died from injuries sustained in the shooting.

Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit responded and are investigating the incident. It is unknown if the two men knew each other or what started the incident.
