Missing Child Found Deceased

Granite Falls, Wash. – The body of a 6 year-old boy was recovered from the area around the Big Four Ice Caves this evening.

The six year old boy was reported missing from the trails near the Big Four Ice Caves by family around 6:00 P.M. The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office mobilized a search and rescue operation which included a helicopter deployment to assist in the search. After over two hours of searching, the child was located deceased. Details are limited at this time and the investigation continues.

Identification of the victim, as well as cause and manner of death, will be determined by the ME’s Office.
