Early Morning Shooting

Just before 4:00 a.m. Thursday morning, Marysville officers responded to a reported shooting at a residence located in the 7600 block of 80th Avenue, in Marysville.

The victim, a 33-year-old Marysville man, called 911 and reported he had been shot outside his residence while getting into his truck. The victim was able to get back into his house where responding officers located him. He was transported by aid car to a local hospital with serious injuries. He was alone in his home at the time of the shooting.

Detectives are on-scene and waiting for a search warrant to be issued in order to begin the investigation.

“While we have not yet identified a suspect, we do not at this time believe this to be a random incident and believe residents in the area are not in any immediate danger,” stated Commander Robb Lamoureux.

This investigation is in its early stages. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
