Deadlines fast approaching

Monday, July 9 is the last day before the August 7 Primary to register by mail or online or to update an existing voter registration. In-person registration at the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office ends Monday, July 30. Ballots will be mailed to all registered voters beginning July 19.
“Register to vote or update your information today so you are ready to make your voice heard once Primary ballots are mailed,” said Auditor Carolyn Weikel. “With several federal and state offices on the ballot, this year’s elections have significant importance.”
Register online at www.myvote.wa.gov. Mail-in registration forms can be found online or at local libraries, post offices, and the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office. The Auditor’s Office is located on the first floor of the Snohomish County Administration West Building, 3000 Rockefeller Avenue, Everett, and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
To register to vote in the state of Washington, you must:
• be a United States citizen;
• have lived in Washington state for at least 30 days;
• be at least 18 years old by Election Day;
• not be disqualified due to a court order; and
• not be currently under Department of Corrections supervision for a felony conviction.
If you are already registered but have recently moved or changed your name, be sure to update your registration online, by mail, or in person. You can check your current voting status at www.vote.wa.gov.
Registration assistance is available for those requiring accommodations. Please call the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office at 425-388-3444 (voice) or Washington Relay at 1-800-833-6388 or 7-1-1 (TTY/TDD) to request assistance.
For additional information, visit the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office website at www.snoco.org/elections or call 425-388-3444.
