Police investigate Jan. 4 homicide

EVERETT, WA – Just before 1:00 p.m. on Jan. 4, 2019 Everett Police was notified of a deceased body that had been discovered in a wooded area in the 4500 block of Broadway Ave.

Investigators from the Major Crimes Unit responded to investigate. The Snohomish Medical Examiner’s Office responded to assume jurisdiction over the body. The deceased was a white male believed to be in his late 40’s to mid-50’s.

On Jan. 7, 2019 the Snohomish County Medical Examiner performed an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. The deceased was identified as 46-year-old Michael T. Boon of Everett and he is believed to be homeless.

The Everett Police Major Crimes Unit is investigating this as a homicide and following up on potential leads.
