News Helicopters Stop at Harvey Field
Harvey Field was a busy place today! All three network news helicopters used Harvey Field as a stopping point waiting for the Blue Angels to finish their practice over lake Washington. The news helicopters were up north filming the roll-over accident on highway 2.

The rolled-over dump truck was blocking the eastbound lane of U.S. 2 at Roosevelt Road, said the state Department of Transportation. The truck tipped over about 10:30 a.m.

Crews expected to take until late afternoon to clean up the mess east of Snohomish. Flaggers will direct traffic through the area. Washington State Patrol commercial vehicle troopers are investigating.

Many different agencies use Harvey Airfield as a fueling - layover point between jobs. Harvey Field is a reliever airport and takes much of the smaller air traffic to help keep larger airports free to land jets.

Harvey Field offers a full range of services for fixed-wing and rotor-wing aircraft. Pilot training and Skydiving is also available.
