Snohomish residents from near and far showed up to support the Eye Care Centers charity fundraiser for the Snohomish Senior Center. The wine and glasses event was put in play to help raise money for the new Snohomish Senior Center by giving away a high definition flat screen television through a raffle, then giving all the proceeds to the Senior Center. "I enjoy giving back to our wonderful community" said Dr. Anup Deol Knutsen. "We have found that there is no better reward then supporting those that are in need" she said. The Doctor and John Knutsen have also donated $5000 to Snohomish Affordable housing and provide free eye exams to the needy through a Lions club program and several local churches. Dr. Deol feels that she was blessed for being able to come and live her dreams in America that she likes to give back not only locally but globally. The Eye Care Center of Snohomish was established on Avenue D over 45 years ago in 1964 by Dr. John McClintock; Dr. Anup Deol purchased it in 1994. Dr. Deol even received an award from the Snohomish Historical Society for their remodel design work on the original clinic. The Eye Care Center of Snohomish has a lot of high-tech equipment that is hard to find even in larger clinics. They can test for many diseases and help manage many others. The small town of Snohomish is lucky to have such a full service clinic right in their own community.
