Glacier Peak High School Football goes into the history books with their first touchdown on their home field. This was the first organized football game played on the Grizzlies BRAND NEW field. This will be the most beautiful stadium in the state when it is finished. With less than a week in their new school the Grizzlies junior varsity football team took to the field against Arlington's jv team. In the very first series Arlington drove the ball down for a score, this was an eye opener for Snohomish who tightened their chin straps and dug in for a long slug-fest.

Back and forth across the field they went with only that one score until about a minute before the half. On about the 8 yard line #9 QB Kevin Campbell fired a rocket at #24 WR C.J. Hawley, Hawley caught it and with some sweat foot work he ran it in for the Grizzlies first ever touchdown at Glacier Peaks own field.

The game continued with a score from Arlington in the third qrt. Now, with time running out and only a few seconds left on the clock, the Grizzlies made a last attempt to get the ball down field for a score. QB Kevin Campbell fell back to pass and was hit hard fumbling the ball which was picked up and run in for another score.

The final score does not reflect the hard fought game and the talent that these guys showed on the field. A few different moves and the outcome would be completely changed.

Grizzlies - 6 | Arlington - 18
