Glacier Peak Grizzlies Playoff Preview

The Glacier Peak Grizzlies travel to Gig Harbor tomorrow to face the Peninsula Seahawks at Roy Anderson Field.

The Grizzlies come into this playoff game averaging over 260 yards passing and 140 yards per game rushing. With 400 yards per game of total offense, Glacier Peak has been a nitro fueled explosion of talent. The only hiccups occurred when the Grizzlies looked passed its task at hand, Mountlake Terrace, and didnt continue its pressure with Meadowdale.

Glacier Peak has everything you want in a team heading into the playoffs with the only possible weakness being their defensive secondary. The players will need to dig deep and play hard if they want to wins against an equally talented Seahawks team.

The Peninsula Seahawks are averaging 206 yards per game in rushing and 130 yards in passing. Their averages may be lower but dont be fooled by numbers. Their main rusher #10 Grosshans who had missed some playing time do to an injury is now healthy and racking up stats to match.

This will be a great matchup, a solid rushing team in the Seahawks verse a #1 ranked run defense in the Grizzlies. The only loss the Seahawks have had this year was early in the season to #1 ranked (state) Lakes High School.

Coach Rory Rosenbach has been itching to get back to the playoffs with a seasoned and experienced team. This is Glacier Peak High School in Snohomishs second year in existence and its second year in the playoffs. You can watch this blistering offense in action on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/activewebfx

The bus leaves Glacier Peak High at 3:30 p.m. The cost is $5 per person.

Material girl Michelle Obama is a modern-day Marie Antoinette

Material girl Michelle Obama is a modern-day Marie Antoinette on a glitzy Spanish vacation.
Sacrifice is something that many Americans are becoming all too familiar with during this economic downturn. It was a key theme in President Obama's inaugural address to the nation, and he's referenced it numerous times when lecturing the country on how to get back on its feet.

But while most of the country is pinching pennies and downsizing summer sojourns - or forgoing them altogether - the Obamas don't seem to be heeding their own advice. While many of us are struggling, the First Lady is spending the next few days in a five-star hotel on the chic Costa del Sol in southern Spain with 40 of her "closest friends."
