Public engagement helps local governments determine what the most important community needs are and how limited federal resources should be spent to improve the lives of people in Snohomish County. Local governments will develop plans for 2015-2019 to use federal funding received through various U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development programs, including the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), Section 8, and Public Housing programs

The programs provide funding to support housing and community development activities that benefit low- and moderate-income people and neighborhoods, such as rental housing and vouchers, housing for persons with special needs, senior centers, food banks, sidewalks, accessibility improvements, and more.

Snohomish County on behalf of the Snohomish County Urban County Consortium is cosponsoring the hearings with City of Everett, the Everett Housing Authority, the City of Marysville and the Housing Authority of Snohomish County. For more information, to request reasonable accommodation, or to request an interpreter, contact Sue Tracy, Human Services Department at 425-388-3269 or at sue.tracy@snoco.org.
