Museum Renovated Exhibit

After being closed the week of Sept 6 for our annual late-summer cleaning and maintenance, Imagine Children’s Museum has reopened its doors with a newly renovated exhibit as well as the return of a popular exhibit.

Museum visitors have been witnessing the transformation of the Imagine Theatre throughout the summer. Renovations include new murals, four seasonally themed backdrops that will keep the space exciting throughout the year with matching costumes and props for budding actors to wear. These exciting renovations were made possible by donors and funders of the museum.

The Energy Tracks exhibit has returned. This exhibit introduces basic physics concepts like energy, force, inertia and gravity, through experiments and play using prompts and a variety of specially-designed tracks with rubber balls. Junior physicists and their grown-ups can follow the prompts to guide their experiment or use them as a springboard to design their own experiments. Younger visitors will enjoy watching the balls move in different ways on different tracks. Energy Tracks was designed and fabricated for Imagine by Ontario Science Centre. The original Energy Tracks exhibit traveled throughout North America for many years. The Energy Tracks exhibit replaces the Camp Imagine exhibit in the Lodge.
