Detectives Investigate Human Skull Found in Forest GOLD BAR, Wash. – Major crimes detectives with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office are investigating an adult human skull discovered by a logger in the forest last week. The logger called the Sheriff’s Office the morning of Wednesday, November 25 after finding the skull while marking trees on privately-owned timber land, about five miles west of SR 2 between Gold Bar and Index. The skull was taken into custody by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office for positive identification. No other human remains were found at the site.
